BIODEGRADACIÓN DE CARBOFURAN Y CARBARIL POR Sphingomonas sp., S8-M3-13

Resumen


El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la biodegradación de los plaguicidas N-metilcarbamatos carbofuran y carbaril por Sphingomonas sp., cepa S8-M3-13. La biodegradación de carbofuran y de carbaril, fue evaluada mediante la medición del crecimiento bacteriano por recuento en placa de células viables y la concentración de los plaguicidas mediante cromatografía líquida de alta resolución con detección UV (HPLC-UV). Los resultados demostraron biodegradación de carbofuran y carbaril como única fuente de carbono y nitrógeno a una tasa de 4,5 mg L-1 h-1 y 1,1 mg L-1 h-1, respectivamente. El principal metabolito de la degradación de carbaril fue el 1-naftol, el cual no fue degradado.
